TOP PRIORITIES
What matters to you matters to me—housing you can afford, healthcare you can reach, schools set up to succeed, taxes that are fair, and work that treats you with respect. That's what I'll fight for in Salem.
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Safe, stable housing is a fundamental right, but for too many Oregonians, it's slipping out of reach. Rents and mortgages are rising faster than wages, affordable units are disappearing, and the people who make our communities run can no longer afford to live in them. People should be able to live where they work, and a long commute shouldn't be the price of an affordable home. I'll fight to create more housing options, strengthen tenant protections, expand rental assistance, and open real pathways to homeownership. Because stable housing isn't just a roof over your head—it's the foundation everything else is built on.
HEALTHCARE FOR ALL
Every Oregonian should have access to quality healthcare. Expectant mothers shouldn't have to drive long distances to receive care, and working families shouldn't have to choose between keeping the lights on and visiting the doctor. I will push to expand access, lower costs, and take on the rural healthcare crisis impacting this district by supporting local clinics, investing in rural providers, and ensuring that every community gets the care it needs. Healthy people build healthy communities—and all Oregonians deserve that foundation.
EDUCATION AND OPPORTUNITY
Public education is the backbone of strong communities, and the cornerstone of a healthy democracy—but Oregon's schools are facing rising costs, growing student needs, and persistent staffing shortages. I'll fight for stable, equitable funding paired with real accountability, so every dollar supports students, families, and the dedicated workers who make it all possible. I also support expanding pathways through community colleges, trade programs, and apprenticeships that prepare people for family-wage careers in construction, manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, and other critical industries. That's how we build an economy that actually works for working people.
FAIR-SHARE TAXATION
Too many working people are carrying more than their share while large corporations and the wealthy find ways to pay less. That's not fiscal responsibility—that's a rigged system. I'll fight for a tax code that eases the burden on working families and makes sure corporations and the wealthiest Oregonians pay their fair share. When the tax code is balanced and just, working people keep more of what they earn, and communities have the resources they need to thrive.
PROTECTING WORKING PEOPLE
Worker protections are about fairness, safety, and respect for the people who keep our economy running. Everyone deserves to be paid fairly, treated with dignity, and able to come home safe at the end of the day. I'll fight for exactly that — safe working conditions, clear rules, and a real voice for workers in resolving disputes. When working people are organized and empowered, families thrive, and our economy works better for everyone.
