TOP PRIORITIES
Joanna is committed to maintaining her independence and providing true representation for the people in House District 15. She does not accept donations from Corporate PACs or big money. The issues that matter to this campaign are the issues that matter to you, the voter. From the cost of groceries to access to affordable childcare, Joanna will fight for what matters to you in Salem!
AFFORDABLE HOUSING
Access to safe and affordable housing is a fundamental right, yet it is increasingly out of reach for many Oregonians. Joanna believes working people and families should be able to live where they work. She will champion policies that ensure housing stability, combat homelessness, and create pathways to homeownership for families in House District 15 and across Oregon.
HEALTHCARE FOR ALL
Every Oregonian should have access to quality healthcare. Big insurance companies continue to make massive profits off the backs of rank-and-file workers, and it's time to fight back. Joanna will push for legislation that expands access to healthcare, lowers costs, and addresses the rural healthcare crisis in Oregon. Expectant mothers shouldn't have to drive long distances to receive care, and working families shouldn't have to choose between keeping the lights on and visiting the doctor. Joanna believes access to healthcare is a fundamental right, and she will fight to make sure no Oregonian is left behind.
FAIR-SHARE TAXATION
Fair-share taxation means asking everyone to contribute their fair share so we can invest in strong schools, safe infrastructure, and healthy communities. A fair tax system should ease the burden on working families while ensuring large corporations and the wealthiest Oregonians pay their share. When our tax code is balanced and just, it creates opportunity, stability, and shared prosperity for all. Joanna will push back on taxes that disproportionately impact rural and low-income people while letting corporations off the hook.
EDUCATION
Public education is the backbone of strong communities and the cornerstone of a healthy democracy. Oregon's schools are facing rising costs, growing student needs, and persistent staffing shortages that strain educators and staff alike. To ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed, Joanna will push for stable, equitable funding and policies that support students, families, and the dedicated workers who make public education possible.
PROTECTING WORKING PEOPLE
Strong worker protections are about fairness, safety, and respect for the people who keep our communities and economy running. Everyone deserves a workplace where they are paid fairly, treated with dignity, and able to return home safely at the end of the day. Joanna will fight to protect basic workers' rights like safe working conditions, clear rules, and a voice in resolving disputes. When working people are organized, protected, and empowered, our economy works better, and families have a real chance to thrive.
